The Ticket in Visibuild is used to manage issues raised through the Tickets Portal. In most cases this will be the asset owner, or building manager after the completion of the Project.
The Tickets module leverages the existing Visibuild Defects infrastructure to manage the issues that are captured in a Visibuild Ticket.
To use Visibuild Tickets to manage the close out of the resulting works that need to be completed, you will need to create a "Linked Defect" in the project. This will allow you to:
Create a Defect to the selected Project Location and allocate that defect to a "Defect Round"
The Defect Round can have pre-set approval workflows based on how you want to manage the close out review workflow
The defect can be assigned to your own company, any Partner company or any individual on your Project
Because of this, it's important that you create the required Defect Rounds you need to manage your Post Completion Defects prior to creating a Linked Visi.
Creating a Linked Defect whilst Opening a Ticket
Whilst you are triaging a Ticket, you will be given the option to either Open, Decline or Close the Ticket. If you Open the ticket, you will automatically be prompted by a pop-up to create a Linked Visi.
Whilst creating the Linked Visi you will be able to edit the details of the Linked Visi including the following fields:
Field | Default State |
Defect Round | manually selected |
Title | auto-populated from Ticket |
Description | auto-populated from Ticket |
Location | auto-populated from Ticket |
Assignee | manually selected |
Reviewers | auto-populated from Defect Round |
Due Date | auto-populated based on Automated Due Date setting in Project Setup > Issues |
Attachment | auto-populated from Ticket |
Mandatory evidence of rectification toggle | default set to "off" |
Creating additional Linked Visis
Some Tickets may require multiple linked Defects to fix the overall problem. You can link as many Visis as you need to, to a single Ticket to contain all related works in one spot. To do this navigate to the Ticket > Add Link > Create Visi and add more Visis as required.
