Linked Visis now allows users to create meaningful connections between different inspections and locations within a project. This addresses a critical challenge in quality where inspections often need to span multiple locations or reference other completed checks.
How this helps you?
To understand Linking Visis, knowing how this can help you is key. Below are the main problems that this feature addresses and how this feature allows you to overcome it.
Improving efficiency in multi-location inspections
Improving efficiency in multi-location inspections
For many instances, one location isn't enough! For many trades, it is common that one template covers a range of locations/inspections and completing the same inspection again and again isn't viable.
Below are some examples where Linking Visis solves this issue:
Example 1: An electrician may run a circuit through 5 levels but only require one inspection. However, it is still important that there is a record of inspection across all levels in that circuit. In which case when using Visibuild they would either need to create an inspection in each level and complete the inspection 5 times unnecessarily, or only create the inspection in one location which leads to poor traceability for the other 4 levels.
Example 2: Users may be required to submit concrete test results for concrete that was used to pour 10 piles. Typically they would only need to submit this concrete once, and document that it was used in multiple piles, but currently when using Visibuild, users are having to sign off and attach the concrete results to every location - doing more work than is required of them to ensure that there is documentation for every pile.
Enhancing inspection relationships
Enhancing inspection relationships
A more common application is the relationship between ITPs (inspection test plans) and ITCs (inspection test checklists). Linking Visis now allows these connections to be more concise and apparent to understand how each Visi is related.
β
Previously, there was no easy way to link Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) to the required Inspection Test Checklists (ITCs), which was often created as a separate Visi. This forced users to create ITCs at the root/top level while ITPs were logged in their relevant locations, making it difficult to track relationships between them.
β
βBy using Linked Visis, the users can be sure that each ITP referenced the correct ITC, allowing the users to easily confirm sign-offs before starting inspections.
But enough with the boring stuff... let's link up! ππ
