Understanding the Company Visi list

How to find the company-level Visi list, filter it across every project, set up your columns, and open, update and close Visis without leaving the list.

Written by Koozee Huybers

The Company Visi list brings every Visi from every project your company is part of into a single table. Instead of opening one project at a time, you can look across the whole portfolio in one place - every open non-conformance, everything assigned to one subcontractor, every inspection still sitting in review - and then open, update and close those Visis without leaving the list.

By the end of this article you'll know where to find the Company Visi list, how to filter it across projects, how to set up your columns, and how to work on a Visi directly from the company view.

Where to find the Company Visi list

  1. Select Company in the top navigation bar.

  2. Select Visis in the left-hand menu.

The page opens as [Your company] Visi list and covers every project you have access to. The project selector at the top of the left-hand menu stays on All projects.

What you're looking at

Each row in the table is a single Visi across all projects.

Above the table you'll see two tabs with counts: Parent shows top-level Visis only, and All also includes the Visis nested inside them - such as the tasks within an inspection - which is why the All count is higher. Use the search icon on the right of the filter bar to find a specific Visi by title or ID.

Filtering across every project

The filter bar sits directly above the table. Project, Status, Visi type and Assignee are there by default. Use + Add filter to narrow down your search further, and Clear all to reset back to all visis. Find the exact information you are looking for i.e.

  • Every live non-conformance across all projects - Status: Open and In progress, Visi type: Non-conformance.

  • Everything sitting with one subcontractor - Assignee: the company name.

  • Work in review across two projects - Status: In review, Project: the two projects.

Setting up your columns

Select Edit columns at the top right of the table to open the column panel, which is split into Shown and Hidden.

  • Select the eye icon next to a column to show or hide it.

  • Drag a column by its handle to change the order.

The table updates as you go, so you can see the effect immediately. Columns hidden by default include Due date, Description, Reviewers, Creator, Viewers, Created and Last updated.

Editing and transferring to a project from the company list

You don't need to switch into the project to act on a Visi. Hover over a row and select the expand icon next to the Visi title - the full Visi opens over the top of the list, with the project and location path shown as a breadcrumb along the top.

From here you can:

  • Complete requirements and checklist items.

  • Add attachments, link documents and link other Visis.

  • Select Edit in the Details panel to update details such as status, location, due date, assignee, reviewer, viewers, and the system, stage and discipline categories.

  • Leave a comment in the Activity feed.

  • Use Copy link to share the Visi, or More actions for the rest of the options.

  • Select Close to close the Visi out - or Reopen if it has already been closed.

  • Transfer to the project by clicking into the location tree path shown at the top of the visi

Everything you do here is recorded in the Visi's Activity feed exactly as it would be on the project. Press Esc or select the X to come back to the list, and the row updates in place with the change you just made.

Click directly into a ticket from the Company Visi list

The Linked ticket column applies to defects: those raised from a post-completion ticket, and those linked to a ticket afterwards. Where a link exists you'll see the ticket number; everything else shows a dash. If the column isn't there, unhide Linked ticket under Edit columns.

Select the ticket number to open the ticket detail, including everything linked to it. You stay in the company view the whole time - you're not dropped into the project - so you can go from a defect you've spotted across the portfolio, to the request that raised it, and straight back to the list.

Using the Company Visi view with MCP

The Company Visi List and Visibuild’s MCP integration work together to give you both visibility and analysis across your portfolio.

The Company Visi List provides a central view of all Visis across your projects, while MCP can use this real-time data to analyse trends and answer cross-project questions in plain language.

For example, you can ask your AI assistant:

  • How many NCRs are currently open across all my projects?

  • Which subcontractor has the most overdue defects?

  • What has been closed out this month?

  • Are there any trends in defects or quality issues across projects?

Together, they give teams two ways to work with the same data: use the Company Visi List to filter, review and act, or use MCP to analyse the data and identify trends across projects.

To get set up, see How to connect your AI assistant to Visibuild, or Visibuild MCP for what it can do today.

Top tip: company list or project page?

If your day is spent inside one project, work from the project page - it carries the full toolkit, including the location tree, trackers, grouping and bulk actions, which the company list doesn't replicate.

Use the Company Visi list when the question spans projects: what's being closed out, where your NCRs are sitting, what's ageing. One view of status across every project beats clicking through them one at a time.
