By the end of this article you'll be able to configure all the project-level settings in Visibuild that make defect management faster and more consistent for your whole team.
Defect rounds
Defect rounds let you categorise defects by stage, whether that's a standard four-round practical completion process or a custom classification that fits your project. Once set up, all users are prompted to select a defect round whenever they raise a new defect, keeping your data clean and reportable from day one.
Project admins can create and manage defect rounds by going to Project setup > Issues.
Filtering by defect round on the web app
Once defect rounds are configured, you can filter to them from both the location page and the project dashboard. Go to Visi Type > Issue > Defect > Defect Round to filter your view.

Automated due dates
Rather than setting due dates manually on every defect, you can define a default due date duration at the project level. Every new defect raised on the project will automatically inherit that due date from the moment it's created.
Project admins set this by going to Project setup > Issues and entering the number of days. For example, setting 7 days means every defect raised is automatically due one week from creation.
Approval workflows for defect rounds
You can link specific defect rounds to an approval workflow, so every defect in that round requires formal sign-off before it can be closed out. This is useful where your defecting process has a specific round that requires a consultant or head contractor reviewer to approve the rectification before the trade can move on.
Approval workflows are configured separately and then assigned to the relevant defect round. See the full setup guide below.
Location QR codes
You can print QR codes for each project location and place them on site. When a user scans one with their phone camera, it takes them directly into that location in the mobile app — no searching required. This is particularly useful on large projects where navigating the location tree on mobile is slower than scanning a code on the wall.
